Police parade five armed robbery suspects, recover stolen vehicles

The Osun State Police Command on Tuesday paraded  five suspects arrested  for armed robbery
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Olafimihan Adeoye, who paraded the suspects at the police headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital said the command also recovered nine stolen vehicles between September and now.
The CP, who presented two out of the recovered vehicles to journalists said the owners of the other ones had claimed them. Two locally made guns were also recovered from the suspects.
The CP said the  items recovered from the robbers were one black Toyota Corolla Car with Reg. No. SMK 565 DB; Toyota Camry with Reg. No. EKY 628 EA, Man Diesel Truck with Reg. NO. TKP 599 XA; Toyota Corolla S/Car with Reg. NO. BKN 306 AA.
Others are: Mazda 626 Saloon Car with Reg. NO. AG 746 JJS, Toyota Sienna Space Bus with REG. NO. AWK 70 XJ, Mazda 636 Car with REG NO. DF 986 EKY, Mazda 626 with REG. NO. AE 815 ANG, Toyota Corolla S/CAR with REG. NO. APP 902 DJ, Nissan Almera with REG. NO. FKJ 105 AR.”
Adeoye also said the police also recovered items including lap top computers, television sets, Automated Teller Machine cards among others.
He said, “From our records, our relentless battle against crime and criminality is yielding positive result as we continue to work assiduously to maintain a low level of crime I met in the state on assumption of duty.
“We shall maintain the tempo and appreciate the continuous support of members of the public in order to drastically reduce criminal activities in all nooks and crannies of the state.”
He urged members of the public to always make useful information available to the police, saying they could not work effectively without the support of the people.
